Our Limited Lifetime Warranty Agreement

Horizon Guitars warrants this Horizon brand instrument to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for as long as it is owned by its original retail purchaser. For the purposes of this agreement, “Us”, “We”, “Our” and “Ours” shall mean Horizon Guitars unless otherwise stated. “You”, “Your” and “Yours” shall mean the original purchaser and owner of the Horizon Guitars custom instrument being covered under this agreement. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of this custom electric instrument. This warranty also applies only to purchases made directly from Horizon Guitars and is subject to the limitations set forth herein. This warranty is in no way transferable at any time. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied. No representative or person is authorized to represent or assume liability for Horizon Guitars in connection with the sale and/or servicing of Horizon Guitars products. Horizon Guitars is not responsible for any incidental or consequential damages.

Custom Parts Warranty Agreement

We guarantee all our custom parts to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 3 years from the original shipment date. All exclusions that apply to our custom instrument warranty agreement apply to this custom parts warranty agreement. We do not warranty any parts supplied by a customer or unauthorized 3rd party supplier or dealer. We warranty oil finished bodies, necks and fretboards for 1 year from the date they were shipped. This warranty is not transferable and only applies to the original purchaser of the parts. We only warranty official Horizon Guitars manufactured custom parts purchased directly from Horizon Guitars.

Limitations and Exclusions

• Oil finished necks, bodies and fretboards are covered for a period of 1 year from the original shipping date.
• Electronics components including but not limited to pickups, switches, jacks, potentiometers (controls), wiring, booster circuits, LEDs, batteries, and any other electronics onboard this instrument are not covered under this warranty. 
• Instrument hardware including but not limited to tuning machines, bridges/bridge systems, pickguards, knobs, strap buttons, and other hardware are not covered under this warranty. 
• Instrument accessories including straps, gig bags, cases and bag/case hardware are not covered under this warranty. 
• 3rd party manufactured parts are not covered by this warranty, but in many cases the OEM of the parts may provide a warranty on their products. Horizon Guitars will attempt to process a warranty replacement for the defective 3rd party parts with your approval. 
• Please retain your original sales receipt. It is your proof of purchase validating this warranty on your instrument. This Warranty is void if any of the following conditions are met: 
  • The instrument was modified in any way, unless the modifications were approved and/or performed by Horizon Guitars
  • The instrument was serviced by a shop or luthier not approved by Horizon Guitars
  • The instrument or instrument parts were damaged, worn, rusted or corroded by contact with moisture, body salts or acids from perspiration, solvents, corrosive substances, smoke, sun or other UV light, fire, or combustibles
  • The instrument was dropped or an object was dropped upon it
  • The instrument was worn or damaged due to:
    • A natural disasters or other event that could have been covered under homeowners, renters or automotive insurance
    • Any accident(s)
    • Misuse, neglect or abuse
    • Lack of reasonable care 
• Disposable/consumable items such as strings, nuts, saddles, springs and batteries are not covered under this warranty.
• General or routine maintenance on the instrument such as string height setups, restrings, and truss rod adjustments are not covered under this warranty.
• Wear due to normal use such as fretwire and pickguard wear are not covered under this warranty.
• If Proof of Purchase cannot be verified, the instrument cannot be covered under this warranty until the original Proof of Purchase can be verified.
• If the instrument is not an original Horizon Guitars custom instrument, it cannot and will not be covered by this warranty.

Warranty Shipping Policy

• For USA warranties, Horizon Guitars shall provide its own parts and labor at no charge to the original instrument’s purchaser provided such purchaser is able to produce proof of purchase at the time of warranty claim. If defects are found to be covered under this warranty:
  • Horizon Guitars shall pay shipping charges both ways for a period of 90 days from the original date of purchase. 
  • If more than 90 days but less than 365 days has lapsed, Horizon Guitars shall pay return shipping, the original purchaser shall be responsible for shipping the guitar to our shop.
  • If more than 365 days from the original purchase date has lapsed, the original purchaser will be responsible for paying shipping charges both to and from Horizon Guitars. 
  • If defects are found to not be covered under this warranty after any period of time has lapsed from the original date of purchase, the original purchaser may be responsible for paying shipping charges both to and from Horizon Guitars.

Filing a Warranty Claim

To receive warranty service you must first contact Horizon Guitars to begin a Warranty Claim and arrange shipment of the instrument to Horizon Guitars. Once you receive warranty return authorization from Horizon Guitars, please return the complete instrument to us, with a copy of your sales receipt as proof of purchase. Defective instruments that qualify for coverage under this warranty will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of Horizon Guitars at no cost to you. 

*This warranty applies only to Horizon Guitars custom instruments manufactured after May 4th, 2022.
